नि ग्रामा॑सो अविक्षत॒ नि प॒द्वन्तो॒ नि प॒क्षिण॑:।
नि श्ये॒नास॑श्चिद॒र्थिन॑:॥ऋग्वेद१०-१२७-५॥
इस मन्त्र का सार यह है कि परमात्मा की कृपा से पृथ्वी सौरमण्डल में इस प्रकार स्थित है कि जहाँ-जहाँ दिन होता है, वहाँ-वहाँ रात्रि भी होती है, जिससे सभी प्राणी, चाहे वे दिन में परिश्रम से थके मनुष्य हों, या दो या अधिक पैरों वाले पशु-पक्षी हों, सभी को में आराम मिलता है। आमतौर पर हम ऐसे कई विषयों पर ध्यान नहीं देते जिन्हें ईश्वर ने पृथ्वी पर रहने वाले हम सभी प्राणियों की खुशी के लिए बनाया है। वस्तुतः हमें ईश्वर के प्रति सदैव कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करते रहना चाहिए।
The essence of this mantra is that, by the grace of Paramaatma, the Earth is situated in the solar system in such a way that, in most of the places where there is day, there is also night, due to which all the creatures, whether they are humans, tired of labor during the day, or animals or birds with two legs or more legs, all get rest at night. Generally we do not pay attention to many such subjects which Paramaatma has created for the happiness of all of us living beings on earth. In fact, we should always keep expressing gratitude towards Paramaatma.
